What We Do

Global Emergency Relief, Recovery & Reconstruction (GER3) provides immediate relief for people affected by crises worldwide.

We prioritize serving the most vulnerable populations where relief gaps exist. Our programs assist underserved groups with much-needed aid.

Collaborating with affected communities, our expert teams clear dangerous debris, provide emergency shelter supplies, and immediately begin the reconstruction process with a focus on homes, schools, and health facilities. This allows displaced communities to start recovering quickly.

Our sustainable and culturally appropriate reconstruction efforts help empower communities to rebuild better than before.

GER3 assists in recovery and reconstruction after an international disaster.

RECENT RELIEF AND RECOVERY EFFORTS

Hurricane Beryl Response

In response to Hurricane Beryl, which devastated multiple islands in St. Vincent and the Grenadines and Grenada, GER3 is deploying its Global Response Team (GRT) and will be operational in affected areas as soon as possible.

Initial damage assessments indicate catastrophic damage on the islands of Union, Mayreau, and Canouan in St. Vincent and the Grenadines as well as Petite Martinique and Carriacou in Grenada, with over 90% of homes damaged or destroyed on each island.

GER3 will work with community members to identify families most in need, understand how to best support, and provide the appropriate help to rapidly advance the relief and recovery effort.

Ukraine Conflict

The GER3 team based in Kyiv is currently providing immediate support to communities affected by the conflict, focusing on rapid home and school repairs.

We continue to conduct humanitarian needs assessments, collaborate with partner organizations, and identify gaps in the response effort.

This coordinated response allows us to design appropriate assistance programs to support relief efforts as effectively as possible.

Hurricane Dorian Recovery

The GER3 team remains operational in Abaco, The Bahamas. We continue to support ongoing reconstruction efforts for homes, schools, shelters, and health centers affected by Hurricane Dorian.

From Relief to Rebuilding: Our Areas of Expertise

GER3 specializes in early crisis response and debris management. Our teams rapidly clear rubble and other debris from roads, homes, and public spaces so rebuilding efforts can begin quickly.

We provide emergency supplies and other immediate support to affected communities to bridge the gap as work continues.

Our reconstruction projects are initiated early in the response effort and focus on homes, schools, health clinics, and other critical facilities. We use hazard-resilient designs and partner with local builders for culturally attuned construction.

Within these projects, we provide livelihood support programs to help affected community members restore their income, contribute to the recovery process, and learn new skills.
